Description
Operating room surgical technician is an integral member of the multidisciplinary surgical team.
The surgical technician acts as a scrub person, prepares and handles instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during a surgical procedure. He/She has an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. He/She works collaboratively with other team members to assure quality patient care during the operative procedure. The surgical technician functions under the supervision of a registered nurse.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 2 years of experience - Required
- Scrubbing experience - Required
- Must be highly skilled in multiple surgical specialties. Must be a well-rounded CST
- NBSTSA Required (NCCT not accepted)
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- BLS (AHA)
