About the role: We are seeking a high-value Solar Field Service Technician to work on both our Commercial and Residential Solar Projects. This is a highly visible role that will lead to a long-term career within the organization. This role requires strong work ethic, dedication to the trade, eagerness to learn/improve skills and ability to work as part of a team. In this integral role, you will be responsible for servicing 15-30 existing PV Solar systems per week.
About the company: Harvest Power is a nationally recognized leader in the solar energy industry, providing full-service residential and commercial solar energy project management including design, engineering, and installation of solar energy systems.
Responsibilities:

Performs daily service calls and maintenance on existing systems
Conducts diagnostic assessments on problematic systems and identifies sources of errors
Replaces failed system components (modules, optimizers, inverters, wiring, racking, monitoring)
Troubleshoots monitoring connectivity and network issues (Enphase, Solaredge, Locus)
Installs racking systems including roofing penetrations, shingle flashed footings, rails and clamps
Basic electric wiring of PV arrays
Maintains an inventory of tools and materials in both warehouse and fleet
Captures specific photographs of job sites to assure quality assurance and completion of service calls
Maintains a clean and safe job site at all times
Works with Service Supervisor & Director of Field Operations on special projects as required
Collaborates with Service Supervisor & Director of Field Operations to ensure processes are streamlined and work is executed to the customer’s satisfaction

Qualifications and Skills:

Previous experience in solar panel installation or related field is preferred.
Knowledge of electrical systems is a plus.
Familiarity with power tools and their safe usage is necessary.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Advanced knowledge of PV solar systems
Ability to quickly troubleshoot through common system issues
Advanced knowledge of site plans & line diagrams
Experience using hand-held power tools and multi/volt meters
Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions
Ability to ascend/descend a ladder and rooftop
Professional organizational competencies (detail-oriented, prepared, punctual)
Keen attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness
Patience, service-oriented attitude, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal leadership and staff
Desire to grow with company preferred. Multiple growth paths available.
Clean Driver’s License required
