Nijhuis Saur Industries (NSI) the parent company of Aqua-Chem (ACI) is hiring a
Industrial Wastewater Service Technician who will work in collaboration with the other members of the NSI service team to provide customer support and service, representing the face of Nijhuis Saur Industries, while ensuring clear communication between internal and external resources and customers. The Wastewater Technical Service Engineer Technician will offer remote and on-site customer support and solutions to a well-developed existing client base and new prospective clients in the USA and Canada.

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Location: This position may work remotely, traveling within the United States

Pay Range: Dependent on Experience

Essential Duties

Maintains and develops knowledge on Nijhuis treatment equipment and service offerings to the industrial wastewater treatment market
Preventative and scheduled maintenance, trouble shooting, and repairs
Replacement and spare part sales support
Technical support for prospective sales, including pilot test units and water sample testing
Assisting the engineering and project management teams
Providing supervision during equipment installation
Performing system startup, equipment commissioning and performance testing
Instructing operators in the use and operation of installations
Performs set-up and commissioning of physical, chemical, and biological mobile water treatment systems within the North America region.
Manages procurement of local services and equipment when required to undertake specific site tasks.
Provides troubleshooting support to existing clients.
Supports the local marketing team with current relevant material for use in corporate social media and in other marketing activities to help promote sales activities.
Follow NSI protocols and procedures in regard to Health and Safety in the workplace.

Educational/Experience

Education in a mechanical or electrical field of study such as biological sciences, environmental sciences and/or engineering, mechanical, or chemical engineering, undergraduate degree preferred, but not required.
Previous practical and/or professional experience may replace education.
Minimum of 3 years technical training and/or experience in the industrial water purification industry
Experience maintaining, servicing and/or operating screen, Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF), and biological treatment systems
Familiar with both aerobic and anaerobic biological treatment
Previous experience in sludge dewatering and chemical dosing

Requirements

Enjoy travel - 70% or more travel required
Basic understanding of water chemistry
Able to work overtime as required
