What you will enjoy doing*
In this role, you will provide information throughout the various proposal, engineering and construction phases to the proposal and project teams with regard to all aspects of Process Engineering
Further, you will be in charge to perform a thorough review of customer’s inquiry and / or request for process design information
Perform process simulations and develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFD’s) and Heat and Material Balances (H&MB’s) to determine if the process design is competitive
Calculate Utility, and Product Value Estimates and combine this with the Capital estimate (from others) to prepare a Project Evaluation to allow determination of the viability of the project
You will develop sizing information for Process Equipment (compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, distillation columns, separators, etc.) and provide information in the form of equipment data sheets
Also, you will provide commissioning and startup support as well as troubleshooting for operational facilities
What makes you great
B.S. in Chemical Engineering with 5 or more years of industry experience
Experience in process simulation required
Further, you have strong working knowledge of one or more process simulators such as UniSim and/or HYSYS
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio, Power Point), required.
You are able to work with minimal supervision, can prioritize workload and meet deadlines
Further, you are detail orientated, creative and innovative
Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues and individuals inside and outside the Company is required, as well as to effectively communicate process concepts to both in-house clients and external customers
Relationship building skills with individuals from other global departments and organizational groups.
Knowledge of material balance, process engineering, process controls, plant hydraulics and process safety concepts is required
In addition, you demonstrate honesty, integrity and professionalism in all communications, actions and decisions
