Job Summary
As a senior system development engineer, you will contribute to process and equipment
development for AirSCWO systems. This will require you to develop a thorough understanding of
374’s AirSCWO process and contribute to its continual improvement.
You will be part of a small, but growing, engineering team and will work directly with 374’s
fabrication partner, equipment suppliers, and AirSCWO system end-users.
To be a successful candidate, you must have experience designing and working with equipment
for high pressure applications and good knowledge of industry-standard equipment.
The position will be remote, but preferred to be in the U.S.
What You’ll Do
This role will require a variety of different tasks, and the ideal candidate will have to wear many
hats. Some specific tasks include, but are not limited to:

Work with vendors of key equipment to improve quality, maintainability, and costs.
Design new or optimize existing mechanical equipment in 374’s AirSCWO process.
Participate in process design reviews and implement continual improvements.
Work with process and automation engineers to realize improved process control.
Provide support for construction and commissioning of AirSCWO systems.
Create technical documentation.

Who You Are
Qualifications and Experience

MS in chemical or mechanical engineering or relevant field with 5+ years' relevant professional

experience.

Experience with process design, preferably of high-pressure or hydrothermal systems,

including with HAZOPs, design reviews.

Experience in all of the following and preferably expert level knowledge in at least one of:

pumps, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, valves.

Experience in water/wastewater industry and/or hydrothermal operations or other relevant

engineering experience.

Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple, tight deadlines..

Skills and Traits
