Description
Responsible for all activities related to estimating, sales and project management support.
The essential functions and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:
Promote a positive reinforcement and support of Villara’s policies and directives to all personnel.
Provide consistent levels of job bidding activity as directed by the Solar manager.
Provide direct support to the Field and in office team for all estimating activities and needs.
Promote a positive reinforcement and support of Company and Division policies and directives to all personnel.
Adhere to and ensure proper implementation of the Division standard processes and practices.
Manage and maintain company resources in a positive and efficient manner.
Participate in required meetings with Field supervisor to facilitate proper transfer of project responsibility and understanding.
Participate in required meetings with customers to design the solar and battery storage systems.
Provide all required documentation to facilitate turning the project over to the Field Supervisor.
Ensure accurate job take-offs and estimates.
Ensure timely follow-up with all bids and contractors.
Ensure timely production of all project correspondence such as estimates, proposals, follow-up information, etc.
Communicate, in a timely manner, all required information for the project set up.
Recognize potentials for value engineering and other strategies that may improve opportunity for advantages over the competition.
Keep all bidding strategies confidential.
Use AutoCAD or Solargaf as directed to complete design and estimates.
Ensure that estimates meet NEC and Code requirements
Maintain a strong knowledge of current solar material such as; modules, racking, inverters, and storage system.
Project management active jobs as needed.
Training/Certification
AutoCAD line drawing and system layout design.
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) experience required.
Must be well versed in Excel i.e. Creating, Formulas, Tables and Formatting.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions and percentages
Ability to effectively organize and estimate multiple projects at one time while meeting deadlines.
Analyze plans, specifications and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
Accurately process information and enter data using estimating program.
Strong writing skills and ability to communicate effectively.

Excellent organizational skills
Experience in solar, electrical, and/or the construction environment required.
Education
HS Diploma or Equivalent
