The Vice President, Supply Chain Position

Sunnova Energy is searching for our Vice President, Supply Chain to play a critical leadership role in shaping and executing our supply chain strategy to ensure seamless operations, cost efficiency, and exceptional customer experiences. This senior-level position demands a proven track record in supply chain management, strategic thinking, team leadership, and the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration.

Vice President, Supply Chain Responsibilities

Supply Chain Strategy:
Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with overall business goals, emphasizing operational excellence, cost optimization, and risk mitigation.
Continuously evaluate and adapt supply chain processes to meet changing market conditions, customer demands, and industry trends.

Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing supply chain management team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Provide clear direction, set performance expectations, and support professional development to ensure the team's success.

Supplier Relationships:
Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms, pricing, and agreements while ensuring supplier diversity and ethical practices.
Collaborate with suppliers to enhance visibility, quality, and reliability throughout the supply chain.

Inventory Management:
Oversee inventory planning, demand forecasting, and order fulfillment to minimize excess inventory while ensuring product availability to meet customer demands.
Implement inventory optimization strategies and technology solutions to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Logistics and Distribution:
Streamline transportation, warehousing, and distribution processes to reduce lead times, minimize costs, and improve overall supply chain agility.
Evaluate and enhance the use of technology and data analytics to optimize logistics operations.

Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks related to disruptions, regulatory changes, geopolitical issues, and other factors that could impact operations or profitability.
Develop contingency plans and ensure business continuity in the face of unexpected challenges.

Sustainability and Compliance:
Drive initiatives to enhance sustainability across the supply chain, including responsible sourcing, energy efficiency, waste reduction, and ethical practices.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards related to supply chain operations.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Proven experience (15+ years) in progressively responsible supply chain management roles, with 10+ years in leadership positions.
Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a track record of fostering cross-functional collaboration.
Proficiency in supply chain management software and data analytics tools.
In-depth knowledge of industry best practices, trends, and emerging technologies.
Demonstrated experience in negotiation, supplier relationship management, and contract management.
Strong understanding of sustainability practices and their integration into supply chain operations.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in energy is a plus.
